A Brief History of The Mixers
The evolution of The Mixers can best be expressed by the Poster Art created to promote the band. The garage band that started about 15 years ago was primarily an excuse for partying, fun and a bit of intoxication. Soon the band was playing a show or a party here and there. The rule was, whoever got the gig, supplied the name for the band. This resulted in The Authentic Surf Brothers, The Blues Masters, The Skip Mayo Band, The Pedro Point Blues Band, The BluesCasters to the latest and greatest incarnation - THE MIXERS.
The band names changed and so did the people that played, sang, danced and contributed in some fashion to The Mixers:
Mark Smith, Greg Galli, Eric Dixon, The Nazi, Jeff Stofan, Michel Mendoza, Steve Teich, Tom Donald, Jim Wasco, Ralph Barsi, Margarite and Stefan Mayo.
The most recent Poster Art is shown first. Much of it was created by our very own Drew Blood. Click on any poster to see a more detailed view.
